malake, this is the only one, mecha ridley isn't even ridley at all, its just a robot version of him, so technicly this is the only transformed form of ridley so far, and ridley x doesn't count because that isn't even ridley, its an x mimicing ridley. thebestmetroidfan 00:13, 24 June 2010 (UTC)thebestmetroidfanReply[reply]

also, feel free to argue back, I just changed it to what I felt, change it back at any time, but first please prove why there is more then one transformed form. thebestmetroidfan 00:15, 24 June 2010 (UTC)thebestmetroidfanReply[reply]

Doesn't Omega Ridley count as a form? Metroidking 00:18, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

hmmm...well...I guess he does, nearly forgot about omega ridley... - unsigned comment from Thebestmetroidfan (talkcontribs)

Infobox[edit source]

Does anyone object to swapping the infoboxes on Ridley's articles to Boss instead of Character aside from the article on Ridley himself? Ridley himself is given plenty of character in the manga and such, but forms like this or Omega Ridley don't have any character really; they just appear and menace Samus and fight her in an epic showdown later. Yeah, this should have the boss-infoboss. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:06, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ridley[edit source]

Hmm, Ridley's identity sounds confusing even still to me. I was always under the impression that this was Ridley himself. It sounds on the Ridley page that this is a copy of him, but in Prime, it clearly shows him rebuilding himself with all these machines (and does the same for Omega Ridley). If it was a copy of Ridley, I would imagine it'd be a lot more explicit in scans. I'm still convinced that this is the original Metroid Ridley, rebuilt his damaged parts using machines. Then comes back in Super Metroid (with stem cell enhancements it seems this time...) and THAT is the end of Ridley 1 (hard to argue that the frozen Ridley in fusion is the same Ridley, though I imagine that's what developers intended). Other M Ridley clearly isn't the same Ridley but a cloned one. While we're on that note, I think "Ridley's Species" should be a page describing in detail the life cycle. We could go the "Ridley (species)" route, but I would prefer the first option. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:13, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I definitely think the Ridley page is in need of some revamping (hence the notice templates). I don't think it's under debate that Meta Ridley and Omega Ridley are both the same creature as the original Ridley. I'm not sure how he could go from his Omega form in Corruption back to his normal self in Super Metroid, but given Samus's reaction in M:OM, it seems like that was probably the first time she saw a "new" Ridley. Feel free to give these two articles some overhaul. I actually think the Meta Ridley article is more ok than the Ridley article, at the moment... I'm going to agree with all of that. Her reaction in Other M I'm still going to say was not appropriate haha, considering that picture mk turns to, but it all makes more sense than Meta and Omega Ridley being completely different entities. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 22:33, 31 July 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
