Torvus Grove is a room in Torvus Bog on Aether that houses an ancient tree. It connects to the Grove Access, Meditation Vista, and Underground Tunnel, via a Blue Door, a White Hatch, and a Purple Hatch, respectively.

Features[edit | edit source]

This large room surrounds an aged tree that has weakened due to Phazon and Denzium exposure. An embellished Half-Pipe rests in front of the entrance to the Grove Access, and two sections of what appear to be a giant Half-Pipe structure run between the entrance to the Underground Tunnel and the opposing wall.

Several Space Pirate Crates and a few Phazon canisters hint at a Space Pirate presence in this area of Torvus. When Samus firsts visits Torvus Grove, she's ambushed by two Pirate Commandos. In subsequent visits she sometimes encounters Dark Pirate Commandos. The room acts as little more than a hub between a Portal, the Torvus Temple, and the Forgotten Bridge.

The large tree can be damaged by detonating a Power Bomb beneath its weakened trunks, and when it collapses it will impact a section of the wall, revealing a Missile Expansion.

Available Logbook Entries[edit | edit source]

Scan Data[edit | edit source]

Scan Data from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Weakened Tree)

Bioscan complete. Exposure to radiation has weakened this tree. Several parts of the tree have begun to rot due to exposure to Phazon and Denzium.[1]

Scan Data from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Space Pirate Crate)

Object scan complete. This is a Space Pirate Crate. Space Pirates, strangely, dislike theft. The only way into their crates is through the use of force.[2]

Scan Data from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Phazon Canister)

Structural analysis complete. This storage unit has been modified to transport radioactive material. Radscans indicate the presense of Phazon energy. Handle with caution.[3]

Scan Data from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (White Hatch)

There is a Blast Shield on the door blocking access. Analysis indicates that the Blast Shield is invulnerable to most weapons. Light energy may damage it.[4]

Scan Data from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Purple Hatch)

There is a Blast Shield on the door blocking access. Analysis indicates that the Blast Shield is invulnerable to most weapons. Dark energy may damage it.[5]

Scan Data from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Blue Door)

This is a powered door system. Low-level energy shield on door to prevent activation by local creatures. Weapon fire of any type will disrupt the shield and open the door.[6]
