Hey, I need to inform you all of something[edit source]

I was looking around the site earlier and found that someone named TROLOLOL messed up a lot of pages. I went in a redid them, but I don't know if you all do anything when someone vandalizes dozen of pages. You can see all revisions I fixed on my contributions page, but also, here's a link to a Screenshot that has them all from his contributions page. I put this on all the admins pages so someone sees it., I don't know how often you all are online, so yeah... anyway, here you go, here's the link: http://awesomescreenshot.com/014h8842a

Template[edit source]

Hey, I think we need a game template for the bottom of game pages. I would make one, since I know how to make templates, but I'm not sure how you make them (as in colors, styles, all that.) So, maybe you could make one, or teach me how you make templates here. :) -Supernicknobros

For those on the bottom of pages, Do you mean like the Metroids Template? If so, then really all you have to do is copy/paste. Okay I'll start one, Template:Games, that one has all the colors and junk. All you have to do is change the words around and change the pics. If you have trouble with anything just ask me. Also, if you go to your Preferences and under signatures copy/paste this exactly: {{subst:User:Supernicknobros/sig2}}, maybe that'll fix your signature --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 03:23, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok. Thanks. I'll see about making other templates after this one. Also...did my sig work? XD ***Super!~Nickno 03:33, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yep, it works perfect now :) Yeah any useful navigation templates you could make would be nice, we're trying to reorganize the wiki's structure. Just make sure Category:Navigation Templates that it isn't already made. And don't place navigation templates on articles until most of the articles it links to have already been made. For example, we use Template:Beams but not Template:Space Pirates-nav yet. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 03:47, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, that will help a lot. XD Also, how does Template:Games look? All it needs is a sprite of Samus from Metroid (to replace the Metroids). You have any sprite pics? Just a few more questions: Should the NES Classics version of Metroid be a separate article? And should I put links to games related to Metroid, like Smash Bros? ***Super!~Nickno 04:03, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, they should be separated, Zero Mission is pretty huge itself and is very different from Metroid despite being a remake. And yeah include spin-offs, although only the Super Smash Bros. series as far as I can see. Godd job though, it looks great, and let me see if i can find any pics. NES Classics should not be a different article. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:08, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Actually, scratch that last part, go ahead and make the "NES Classics Metroid" and name it exactly that. Just don't write anything for the plot or of the sorts. It shouldn't be such a lengthy article, like not a repeat of Metroid (game). --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:13, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, I guess that's all Metroid games + Smash Bros. So now all that's left is to get the images, make sure there are no dead links, and then add the template to all the game pages, right? ***Super!~Nickno 04:20, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yep, pretty much it. I've got the images covered, I'm making some sprites transparent now, so don't worry about them. Thanks, nice job, and it was pretty quick too. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:24, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's a good Ridley sprite. Maybe for the other side a Samus sprite? I dunno. ***Super!~Nickno 04:48, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That's actually exactly what I got haha, Super Metroid Sames Sprite --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:59, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey, I'm gonna go to sleep now. Maybe you could finish adding the template to the rest of the game pages that I didn't add it to. Or I could in the morning. So, good night. ***Super!~Nickno 05:06, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Alright I'll add them, have fun sleeping. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 05:12, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yay, new template finished. Now, any other templates I could make? Just shoot em at me, and I'll get to work. :D ***Super!~Nickno 18:03, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Umm, i dunno. If you think of one, come back to me. There are actually all sorts of specific templates to make, such as MP2 Bosses, but we don't have enough articles to make such templates yet. So if you could add info to them, or think of another template to make that'd be Awesome. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:13, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, I'll eventually think of one. One quick question, should I add Metroid Dread to the game template? Maybe under other games? ***Super!~Nickno 18:30, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Noooo, haha, Metroid Dread is not a real game and shouldn't be added to the template. I mean, for all we know, Metroid Dread could be the name of Samus's son haha. That page doesn't really apply to any Nav Templates I could think of. I don't even think it should be under the Games category, I'll think of a better category to fit it in eventually. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:38, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, just making sure. ***Super!~Nickno 18:50, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I want to help write up Logbook data, so how should I start that? XD Something to do while I think of a new template. :) ***Super!~Nickno 21:22, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Umm take a look at Template:Logbook, that one should explain how to enter logbook data on pages. If there are any pages missing logbook data that you have, it'd be nice to have it :D. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 21:31, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hey, someone told me to reference Logbook data like it is Metroid (species). Just wanting to make sure, because all it does it restate the data. To me, it looks like a waste of space. What do you think? ***Super!~Nickno 03:52, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Although it does seem like a waste of space, it's important to cite it, even if it is restating. Oh and btw that guy that told you was an admin :] If you go to an admin's user or talkpage you can see a Metroid icon at the corner. It can get boring, you know a lot of copy and pasting, I've noticed that copy/pasting is a big job of wiki editing lol, so long as it's not from another website of course. But yeah if anything is word for word something in the game, it should be cited using the cite template, it pretty much lets people know we aren't making crap up and junk. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:00, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah eh oh. oops. XD I didn't know. Well...now I do. :D So...I'll make sure who is saying what before I speak. :X ***Super!~Nickno 04:03, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Haha, it's alright. There are three Metroid_Wiki:Staff and Contact|admins right now and we're all pretty laid back, so long as people listen. The other three Bureaucrats are too busy and generally not active, with the exception of Mel. So ask any of us for help, but I don't need to tell you that I guess :) --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:11, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok... OOH! I got a new template idea. How about an Expansion template? For stuff like Missile Expansions, Ship Missile Expansions, Power Bomb Exp, Energy Tanks, etc. Would that be a good template? ***Super!~Nickno 04:14, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sure, there wouldn't be any other kind of Nav Templates on those pages, so yeah, go for it. Those pages should be found in Category:Expansions|Expansions. We don't have all the pages for them though, like Beam Ammo Expansions. But if you make the template now, it'll save us the trouble of having to do it later. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:21, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Would the Suit Expansions page be the main page about expansions? ***Super!~Nickno 04:29, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It is. Unfortunately it's dreadfully tiny, I meant to put information on the other expansions in different sections but I never got around to it... On the template, link the title of it to Suit Expansions the same way Template:Games does. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:41, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Template:Expansions|Done. Now all it needs are different pics. :D ***Super!~Nickno 04:43, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It looks amazing :) We'll tweak it after we're done with Beam Ammo. As for the pics, we got a new feature installed that allows random things to be displayed, it's pretty sweet. You'll see what I mean when we change it. Great job again. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:48, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
By randomly changing, is that similar to how Bulbapedia displays the different forms of Pokemon, like how Arceus' type is different every other visit? If so, then that's cool. ***Super!~Nickno 04:50, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Actually we tried their coding for it and it didn't work at first. Then we tried a different method and it worked awesome. Then we looked at Bulbapedia's method and it worked fine. So EXTREMELY similar to that. Is bulbapedia where you noticed Metroid Wiki? --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:55, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Actually, I've been with Bulbapedia and the Super Mario Wiki before NIWA. After the NIWA site was made, I noticed on a few of the Wikis that they had links to the Metroid Wiki, before it was officially added to NIWA. Also, I didn't really care at the time because I never even played a Metroid game till I recently got Prime Trilogy (2 months ago, i think) and then Fusion. Then my Fanboyism kicked in and I joined here. :D Yay! ***Super!~Nickno 05:02, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
AND...I'm ready to go to bed. Night. I'll see how the template looks tommorrow. ***Super!~Nickno 05:08, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Alright, see you then. You know if you have skype it's much easier to contact myself or the other admins through IM. Yeah, many users find themselves interchanging between NIWA, you may be the first I've known that was on two different NIWA wikis before NIWA was created. And yes, the Prime games are freaking amazing, as is fusion. They say Super Metroid is cool too, the best some say, but I've never played that one. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 05:09, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have Skype. So, I guess I'll use it. Save some more space on your Talk page for other people XD. And I just finished making the rest of the Expansion pages and added the template to all of them. Now...I think of another. o.O ***Super!~Nickno 23:13, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Awesome, try adding me as a contact, Malake256. TheSuperZeldaMan added pics to that template I believe. And how bout Lore as one. The different types can be found on the Logbook page. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:03, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, maybe after that add something to organize the data on the logbook pages better. I dunno, just looks sorta bleh with no pics, so maybe some sort of infobox-type template would work, to give it a more ":D" appearance. If that makes any sense. XD ***Super!~Nickno 00:27, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Er, wait. There is an infobox template thing for it. Just needs to be added to the pages. O.O looks like a lot of copying/pasting. ***Super!~Nickno 00:28, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Correct Malake is Correct. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hey, the Template:Lore Nav|Lore template needs another image. It's still an expansion. XD I gotta go to bed right now, so maybe just shoot me something else I could do for tomorrow. :D ***Super!~Nickno 03:13, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah I know, i haven't forgotten about it, i just can't think of another nav template, and i don't want it to look the same as the artifact pic, but that's what it'll be for now. Hmm, well there's plenty still to do on this site. If you're into images you can check Metroid Wiki:Picture Requests|Picture Requests. There's a lot of referencing to do, but that's better saved for the patient people haha. I've started messing with roundness around here, but there's so much other work to do around here it might end up taking a lot of time, that whole server stress thing won't be a problem here so if you want to mess with templates and try roundy magic, go for Logbook or any infobox template. If you can make those templates better in any way that'd be awesome, don't worry nothing is permanent. If you're planning on that look at TTE's Roundy and subRoundys for reference and coding. And of course there are plenty of stubs and WantedPages here, so any help like that or even tiny grammar edits are more than appreciated. I guess this message goes out to anyone spying on my user talk lol ;D. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:22, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hey, on the logbook template, the words are a little hard to read. I think the text on it should be changed to black. Just so it would be easier to read. Sacrifice beauty for practicality? O.o I dunno. Just want to make sure it was ok to change it. ***Super!~Nickno 22:37, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah i know. The colors on that logbook template has been a pain lately. I tried to get them to look like the varia suit, but now it seems impossible to do that without it looking horrible. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 01:34, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Images[edit source]

Hey Malake, what am I supposed to do with the images which I've just transparified? Pinecove 05:41, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Upload them to Metroid Wiki (: Haha. If you mean the old ones that have like a jpg extension, mark them with {{Template:ImDel|ImDel}} template so that we can delete them. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 03:27, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Knowing Nate[edit source]

I know he won't. :P I was being sillyz Yusei 20:50, 13 October 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well doesn't hurt to try of course. And you'll be linked to eventually on Metroid Wiki --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 22:35, 13 October 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Dang Malake![edit source]

You're so awesome and amazing! Your templates are so amazing! I like the way you test things like anonymous editing! 69.232.118.149 18:06, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wikitroid Article[edit source]

I'm posting this here cause my Skype's being a piece of crap today, plus I don't know when you'll next be on so you don't need to receive the message in a week. I'm making the start of the article on a user subpage... could only think of one sentence. If you finish it while I'm gone, feel free to move it to the main space and delete the old page. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:19, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sure, no prob :] stupid Skype.. That's part of the cons of Skype --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:25, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Alright, thanks again. Also I suggest you ask The Exterminator to proofread it cause he should be more familiar with it that we are. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:53, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
One more thing to add, don't let vandals or spammers destroy the wiki while I'm gone! MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:53, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'll try o.o Haha, yeah sure. Oh hey Christmas sig's back, hadn't noticed. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 19:00, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Incomplete Sentence[edit source]

You left an incomplete sentence on the Rinka article, any idea what you were trying to put? MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 22:32, 20 March 2011 (EDT)

Yes, resolved lol. I never could get around to expanding that page :/ --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:48, 23 March 2011 (EDT)
That would be partially incorrect, Rinkas only give Energy and Missile ammo in Zero Mission. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:51, 23 March 2011 (EDT)

Reply[edit source]

I apologize for that. I was trying to replace the code for the template on the Ferrocrusher image with the template, as I had copied the code of the entire thing. I inadvertently ended up editing the actual template when I thought I was editing the info of the image. How exactly that happened, I have no idea. Metroid4Ever 23:23, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Test site[edit source]

Prod wants us to run a few tests on the beta site to make sure nothing will be broken when we update to 1.17. Please let me know when you'll next be on Skype so we can coordinate what we're going to do. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:44, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'll likely be on today and tomorrow for sure, so maybe one of those days. Other then that, I'm not too sure when I'll be on or off. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 14:29, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Music[edit source]

That works. It looks neat and is easily accessible. Any preference on which theme to use for bosses that have multiple themes (e.g. Kraid)? Metroid4Ever 23:49, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I see. As for characters in a game that share a theme (e.g. Spore Spawn and Botwoon), do they both get it or do we give it to whichever appears first? Metroid4Ever 00:47, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
All right, thanks. Metroid4Ever 00:52, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, having the music actually on the site would be nice, and it would spice up the articles that use it. If that can't happen, I do agree that just having a link in the infobox does well enough. Metroid4Ever 01:57, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's better than nothing, I suppose. I've never edited music, so I'll just let you trim it down to size. I've really got no complaints about that limit (it's not like people come on here just to listen to music) except that it is impractical for songs that really don't "get going," if you catch my drift, until much later (Flaahgra's theme, for example, especially since Trilogy fixed the glitch that's in the NTSC Prime). In those cases (which should be few and far between), I think it best to just link to whatever VGM it is, as then we're not held liable if someone wants to listen to an eight-minute piece. Metroid4Ever 05:23, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think that the best course of action (in other words, the course of action that would result in full appreciation of any music added) would be to upload boss music (specifying which ten seconds are to be used in the file description (if I or anyone else who hasn't edited music uploads)) and to just link to area themes (like Norfair, Phendrana Drifts, etc.). Metroid4Ever 05:20, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, I'll work on getting music uploaded...Ogg Vorbis format, right? Metroid4Ever 00:24, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ogg needs to be added to the list of permitted file types here. Metroid4Ever 00:24, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I've got all the time in the world. ;) Metroid4Ever 00:40, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Activity[edit source]

That storm I mentioned in Skype hit and knocked out numerous powerlines. I won't be back on until all electicity is restored. Could be a couple hours or a couple days. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 16:31, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Dang that sucks dude, have fun playing idk solitaire or whatever it is you do during a storm lol --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 16:40, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Storm past but damage has been done. For amusement, I got my DS. I can get onto a computer for a few minutes as long as our portable generator has gas but not really long enough to do anything here. Also glad we got the countdown to work, after I get back to regular activity I'll recommend a few images to use on it. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 17:57, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, Prod got it working. I've actually got a few ideas already ;) But we'll see how it turns out, I'm thinking we should have it up by today.--Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:08, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The way it is now looks great, well done. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 16:34, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks! I'm not even sure it really needs game themes, considering it is Metroid 1's anniversary, but themes are always fun. Oh btw, I customized my css a bit, you may wanna take a look and try it out. The only noticeable changes really are diffs, galleries (which you noticed), thumbs, and a lil image in the cat box (that was just for fun lol) --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:32, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I've already checked out the gallery thing (Prod told me about it), but I'll check out the other stuff too. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 00:50, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
And I didn't read all that you posted, as you can guess from me stating the obvious. But everything else looks excellent MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 00:55, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Coolness :D I don't think I can edit stuff like the site's background from here though, so the skin may be left to an expert skiner lol --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:58, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Template:Cite manga[edit source]

If you look at my recent edit to my work page, you'll notice that when I used that template for referencing, I had to split conversations between Samus and Old Bird up into separate references based on page number and speaker changes. Is there a way around that? Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 00:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I considered it when making the template, but I really couldn't think of a very practical way to approach it. The easiest thing to do involves removing the link to the exact page. But I really like that we could link to the exact slide. Do you have suggestions? --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:13, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't know, the person-by-person conversation is probably fine as I did it. It's when I had to split Old Bird's dialogue up due to a difference in pages that I got confused. I really like the link to the exact slide as well, is there a way to allow a link to more than one slide (by page number)? Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 00:36, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Something like pages 11-12 wouldn't ever work. I suggest just citing it as the first page really--Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 01:21, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmm, that might work... I'm trying to see it from the viewpoint of someone with little to no experience that doesn't know to check the next page... Might be a little confusing to someone who doesn't understand what is going on. I'll try and see how just citing the first page works. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 01:25, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, someone who doesn't know how to traverse a manga probably hasn't read the manga. And finding Metroid Wiki means they've gotta be a Metroid fan, and someone who hasn't read the manga and likes Metroid would likely just read the whole thing :] See? Nothing to worry about :D --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 01:34, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Makes sense. Again ;). Btw, the Manga heavily implied that Adam routinely sent Samus on missions @below. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 13:04, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh, and btw, before I write any more, shouldn't the biography section of Samus' article be written in present tense, just like the rest of the article? Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 01:25, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The standards pretty much say "unless the matter demands it". Idk, it's pretty confusing, and it's hard for me to talk about three-year old Samus in the present tense. You can go ahead and write it however you feel more comfortable, I was thinking past tense for anything about Samus's past and present tense for anything involving Samus's present (that is Metroid - Metroid Fusion). Those Quality Standards really have to be rewritten... All of them >:D --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 15:34, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As far as I know, the best and possibly only time to use past tense is in real world articles like actors and game designers. While I don't really think of three-year old Samus in past or present tense, the Manga tells the story as if Samus is having a flashback or something, so a past tense in the Manga sections and articles wouldn't hurt imo. We definitely need to specify somewhere if past tense is accepted in the Manga sections. I'll write them in past tense, then if we think it needs to be present tense, I'll change it. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 20:14, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Whatever ends up sounding best, is best. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 20:16, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I guess we'll see which one looks or sounds best then :)Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 20:39, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Missions[edit source]

All right, I'll leave it. ;) I didn't know stints in the Federation counted (I was sticking with missions as a bounty hunter). Metroid4Ever 02:31, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Lol, even if they didn't count, I'm positive she's had missions as a bounty hunter that didn't involve Metroids. Or Gorea lol. Who knows how many missions she's been on? --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 02:33, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Other M transcript[edit source]

Falcon Zero added a transcript of the game to Recon so if you feel like torturing yourself to get some references (I don't!), here it is. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 16:50, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I noticed that this morning too :] We'll definitely be using that for reference. Hey, it's much better than going through youtube vids to find the quote you're looking for lol --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 16:52, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I did figure you saw that too (with how often we both go to the site), but t'was good to point it out anyway. Definitely better than watching videos. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 16:57, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Super Metroid[edit source]

News[edit source]

They're NES and Game Boy Advance games, not Virtual Boy games. Metroid4Ever 17:51, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Whoops, I'll get that fixed, that's a phail on my part.. I misread it lol. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 17:57, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Nav templates[edit source]

For articles with multiple nav templates, what do you think about making something like this template or perhaps making them connectible like our logbook template? The second one would look much more aesthetically pleasing than a box then a gap then another box and so on. Also that map of Frigate Orpheon is awesome. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 21:45, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

YEAH Super awesome I know :D And I think I may have an idea forcing something to look nice involving Template:Nav and variables, though im not sure if it'll work. I'll have to play around with it like I do to everything else lol. That would come after the 25th anniversary stuff and frigate orpheon imagemap though. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:01, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Delete[edit source]

User:Bop1996/Test template/Aether, User:Bop1996/Test template/Dark Aether, and User:Bop1996/Test template/Offworld can be deleted. The main subpage (oxymoron) can stay as it's a general test page for templates. Thanks. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 20:54, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Done, and no problem. Yeah that'll stay for sure. The template turned out nicely btw, good job! --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 20:56, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks for the compliment, but I think you should know that you deleted the template subpages instead of the user subpages... Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 21:08, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There, haha, I fixed it, I didn't realize you had them as redirects, doh. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 21:20, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Lol, I just clicked "move" and didn't worry about the redirects... Now to add the template to 75+ pages... Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 21:33, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeahh, :/ That's never fun... But doing so makes Metroid Wiki that much more awesome lol --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 21:37, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's not as bad as it was when I made one on MarioWiki. Some of the articles had 20+ nav templates, so I had to find exactly where to place the template each time lol. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 21:58, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Do you remember where you got File:Baby Sheegoth mp1 Artwork.png from? MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 18:09, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh man that one is so old lol. I probably got it from here, the reason it looks different is because when I did it all those decades ago I was also seeing how it would look if I played with other tools such as blur and sharpen. We could use this one instead, it's a closer cut and Recon is awesome. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:24, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
And it is a bit bigger. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 19:27, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

More Metroid-related 3DS News[edit source]

According to this, Metroid is one of the ten NES games being released via the Ambassador program. Metroid4Ever 10:17, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sorry for the late post, I'm not that quickly reliable anymore, so if you want something in the news, I suggest placing it on Metroidking's talk page. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 17:08, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
