Like most series from Nintendo, Metroid (Series) has had minor cameos in several games. The most prominent being the Super Smash Bros. titles, but no documentation of the series is complete without a thorough listing of all others.

Tetris DS

Tetris DS features an entire gameplay mode dedicated to Metroid. Catch Mode deviates from the standard Tetris play by employing a smaller field of tetriminos. The objective is to build a 4x4 square which will self detonate. All the while gameplay from the original NES Metroid title will automatically play on screen.

Kirby series

The Kirby series, developed by HAL has been ripe with Metroid cameos. In Kirby: Super Star, Kirby is able to collect a treasure called the Screw Attack, which appears as the stylized S symbol; and one of his Stone attack formations manifests to a statue of Samus Aran. In Kirby's Dream Land 3, Samus tasks Kirby to kill Metroids with the Ice Attack.
