Spire is a bounty hunter only found in Metroid Prime Hunters. He is a member of the silicon-based Diamont, composed of hardened rock. Spire is able to withstand extremely high temperatures, and in the game, he's the only character that can walk in lava. He became a bounty hunter in order to solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of his own race.[2]

Main article: Magmaul

Spire's Affinity Weapon is the Magmaul. When he uses it, charged shots will leave a burning effect on the target, continuing to harm them. No other hunter can use this ability with the Magmaul. The Magmaul was made by the Diamont, passed down through generations, eventually ending in the hands of Spire.[3]

Official Site[edit | edit source]

Spire is thought to be the sole remaining Diamont, an ancient race of silicon-based lifeforms whose bodies are composed of organic rock. Spire travels the galaxy as a bounty hunter searching for information on the location, or fate, of the rest of his people.[6]

Spire: Spire is the sole remaining Diamont, the last member of an ancient silicone-based race whose bodies are composed of organic rock. Spire's life as a Bounty Hunter takes him from one end of the galaxy to the other, while he continually searches for some information on the location, or fate, of the rest of his people. When he receives a message from Alimbic Cluster, he races to that system with the hope that finding the Alimbics' source of ultimate power and solving the mystery of their lost race will help him solve the mystery of his own.[7]
