There are over a dozen scans referring to her as a female

Space Pirate Data:

• Log 06.362.2 (when Pirates believed she was Samus)
• Log 06.713.5 (also when Pirates believed she was Samus)
• Stowaway
• First Disciples
• The Source Discovered
• The Leviathan
• Taking Valhalla
• Purification
• Vanguard
• Victory and Loss

Plus you have all of the scans the Samus does of Dark Samus in battle referring to Dark Samus as a female. Metroidking 21:41, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Listen, the Space Pirates THOUGHT she was a female because of her look, I don't think space pirates check the plumbing on there enemys. Also the official scans of Dark Samus don't refer to it as a girl, but unknown, remember, its a metroid human hybrid so its not truly known if Dark Samus is a girl.

Actually it's pretty odd. I dug into some Echoes scans and found that some scans refer to Dark Samus as it and other scans refer to Dark Samus as She. So Nintendo just likes pissin fans off lol. So the guys on yahoo 3:0 said female. But 2 didn't give reason. The last one linked me to Wikitroid lol. So I went to Wikitroid and it seems they had the same problem. And the scans are on Wikitroid's Dark Samus Page. Dang I wish we had all the scans. The most recent, Corruption scan refers to her as "herself", and recent is always on top I would say. Don't worry about the scans, I've fired up my gamecube and restarted Echoes, it'll take me a day or so but I'll compile a list of everything referring to Dark Samus. Someone that has Corruption can provide the scans for that game without copying it from Wikitroid. Metroidking 05:48, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

I think it's when you fight her/it at the end. There are four possible scans of her/it. Dark Samus on Wikitroid. The newest scan of her, Corruption's scan, refers to Dark Samus as female, so I would argue that is most correct --Malake256 ^{{Talk | Contribs}} 15:19, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

In the first scan the word it is referring to the Phazon shield "Phazon energy shield repels all weapons. Wait until it is down to attack", the scan when you fight her at the end of Echoes the word itself is referring to blasts of Phazon "she can generate a shield that is invulnerable to all attacks, save one -- blasts of Phazon energy itself". Tense

OK I am about to add more information about Dark Samus in Echoes, but I am wondering one thing. Does the information about Dark Samus before Samus's arrival on Aether have to be put into present tense? Metroidking 18:50, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

It really depends on how you want to present the info. If you want to write as if it already happened, write it in the past tense. If you want to make it active, as if it was happening this very second, write it in present tense. Abilities

I'm making an abilities sub-section and I have another question. What abilities does she have in Corruption that are not present in Echoes? Metroidking 21:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm not that sure...I really have no idea what any of her attacks are called but I remember what they do. From what I remember in Corruption what she does when she fights is:

• Some healing thing where she absorbs Phaaze's Phazon
• Dark Echo-makes copies of herself to distract/fight (i think this deserves its own page)
  • Morph Ball-when fighting 313
• Energy Burst thing-when you get too close or Missile at her she'll send out a burst that
• Machine Gun-like Phazon spray, i think she does the same in echoes.

She also copies an attack from each of the other hunters:

• Pillars Drop - Forces Phazon/Ice Pillars to fall (rundas)
• Spin - With Dark Echoes spins rapidly, shuffling and attacking at the same time (ghor)
• Shock Wave - Levitates then stomps creating a large shock wave of Phazon (gandrayda)

Since the actual names of the attacks are never given, don't write a list like this, instead write a paragraph describing them. The last three are particularly important I think. If there are names I'll add them once I get working on MP3 Logbook. I do know for a fact that they're called Dark Echoes though. Battle section

Normally, we'd have a section on just the actual battles with a boss. I looked around at this article, but what would have been the battle section on this article is incorporated (rather nicely I might add) into the storyline sections of the article. So I'm asking for input. Do we need a battle section split out of the story sections, or do we want to leave it as is? I favor a split myself. I think the mentions of the battles should remain in the storyline sections, however a more detailed section about the battles themselves sounds great. MK 17:35, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
