Split

  1. I'm proposing a three-way split for the article. Phazon Beam in Prime, the unforgettable Super Metroid Mother Brain Hyper Beam, and Corruption's game-breaking Hypermode Hyper Beam. I really don't need much more convincing to split them other than "they are different things". --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:21, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  2. While I see the merits of keeping the two Phazon-based beams in one article, the method of activation, coupled with the effects and important uses, means that they are different enough to be split. The Hyper Beam from Super Metroid, definitely, as it is completely different. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 20:02, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  1. Maybe if both Phazon beams were put into one article. They are pretty much the same thing anyway. Flyingmouse51 19:38, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  2. Yeah, alright, Metroidking agreed with you guys as well to keep the Phazon ones in the same article. I'd be alright with it as well, that seems to be the consensus. So I'll get to splitting! --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 15:27, 1 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm moving them to Hyper Beam (Mother Brain) and Hyper Beam (Phazon). Because the second appears in two games, I'm using the source of the beam's power as the description. If you can come up with better names, let me know! --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 15:30, 1 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
