Specimen

Who added "(specimen)"? You can just name the place Ridley (Area) or Ridley's hideout. Ridley is too much of an important antagonist to be called a "Specimen."

Infobox

I think this page needs to be more dedicated to Ridley as Ridley, and not as Meta Ridley. There's plenty of information to write on that. On another note, which infobox should be used? Character or Boss? --Malake256 ^{{Talk | Contribs}} 20:04, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Since this is talking about the Character Ridley and not a specific version of him or him from any game, I think it should be Character Infobox.--Arcwarioman 14:25, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Life Cycle

So in the life cycle i saw that the second entry was labeled within as both the second and third, and the third was fourth. Whether this was just a typo or there is some pre-little birdy stage i dont know about, i changed it to the order it was listed. --Nintendbob 02:48, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Reorganization

Right now the article is organized by 1.) Ridley's appearances by game and 2.) His incarnations. I think this needs to be addressed. A linear description of his history would make a lot more sense. I'm proposing that he has a biography of sorts with small blurbs briefly summarizing his participation in various events in chronological order, using {{Main}} to direct people to his incarnations (Meta, Omega, etc). An additional section at the bottom listing and describing his incarnations is fine by me, but to take his Prime appearances out of his biography as we have it now is confusing at best. I support having his incarnations incorporated into the history section as per above, as long as those are confirmed to be the same entity. However, I oppose any notions of having any appearance of Ridley not confirmed to be The Ridley in the actual history section, as those are different entities. I'm not positive about Ridley's Other M appearance since I have little knowledge on that, but definitely exclude Ridley-X from that since it's only an X Mimic; we might as well include all the SA-X's actions in Fusion on Samus' article if we were to do that. As far as Ridley's Other M appearance goes, it is a different entity, so I wouldn't be opposed to excluding that either, if there's a better solution to that issue. Canonically, Ridley dies in Super Metroid. However, the Ridley in Other M is accidentally cloned from DNA left on Samus's suit after their battle on Zebes, whereas Ridley-X is just a copy made from the dried (and frozen) husk of said clone once it's moved to the B.S.L. Research Station, so the former could count as an appearance, albeit barely. Metroid4Ever 20:48, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Ridley's Picture

But doesnt the picture of Meta Ridley belong in the Meta Ridley page? And again why isnt a picture of Ridley in his old purple design instead of Meta Ridley? Its a Character why isnt the picture of him classic like the Omega Metroid picture is?--Arcwarioman 19:28, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Since Meta Ridley is the same entity, having pictures of Meta Ridley is necessary as well. Also, if that picture of Meta Ridley is the best picture we have of him, then it belongs there regardless. Bop1996 _{(Talk | Unfinished projects)} 15:39, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Ridleys

I'm a little confused, I thought Meta and Omega Ridley were both the original Ridley. I thought the whole Meta part came because Ridley was reconstructing himself after Samus defeated him (I assumed he survived and was rebuilt to Meta Ridley). And it's fairly obvious that Omega Ridley IS Meta Ridley, the articles seem to treat otherwise.

I like all ridley battles,but ridley x is the easiest battle of all.

The Smash Bros. 4 Section

Yeah, we know, people fight over Ridley being in Smash Bros. like they're fighting over the last sandwich after the end of the world, but we know NOTHING about his presence in the game. Don't post "leaked info" as if it is true. Leaks are false 99.999% of the time.

I've deleted this section until we get some real information. The same should be done until Ridley appears on the Smash 4 Dojo.
