Corruption Storyline

Shouldn't there be a summary or paraphrasing of Metroid Prime 3's events in this article? Or should we add a "See Also" section which leads to Metroid Prime 3? There is a summary of events on Prime 3's article. Can I get someone's recommendation of including a synopsis of the events in Prime 3 to put here?Transdimensionalflux 04:08, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

All games do need to have a subsection on this article, some of them just haven't been written yet. In any case, a synopsis of the Corruption plot wouldn't have to be incredibly detailed in this article, it would just need to contain details about Samus's major actions in the game. I'll get right on it.Transdimensionalflux 19:26, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sweet. After you're done I'll try to do the Fusion section. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 19:32, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The Corruption summary is done. Good luck on the Fusion section.Transdimensionalflux 20:20, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
In my opinion that section is a little too large, but we'll improve on it. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 22:03, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Manga

Well, after rewriting most of the "Documented Incidents" sections, including a substantial addition of references, I was running out of things to do to this article, so I came to the conclusion that any other Metroid fan with too much time on his hands would; I read all 16 chapters of the translated Manga on Metroid Recon. It's a gold mine of backstory for Samus, and references are bountiful. Need feedback on the level of detail to go into on this article and how much to leave for other articles (like Damara, she definitely influences Samus' personality throughout the Manga, but I'm not sure whether she belongs on this article). Btw, the Manga never specified the particulars of Samus' stint at the Academy, just implied a trusting relationship between Samus and Adam; where'd the Star Trackers stuff come from? I was positive Star Trackers came from the Metroid manual, guess I was wrong. If the 2002 manga doesn't mention it, maybe some other manga does, though I find it unlikely. You can go ahead and delete it, and we'll add it when someone can get a reference to it. That manga is certainly full of information :D I got around to rereading it recently, and add pretty much as much as you can that pertains to Samus, even Damara. More info=better, and too much info can always be broken down. I also made this guy here to make citing to the manga pretty easy, and it links to the page cited on Recon. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:44, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I went and read the Metroid manual scans on Metroid Recon, there was no mention of Samus' time at the academy. Was that stuff in Fusion? I saw the template, it looked really cool, that should help... IIRC, and I read the last six chapters yesterday, the Manga skipped from Samus leaving Zebes after discovering the whole Mother Brain/Space Pirate connection to Samus being some hotshot bounty hunter that dares to smart talk Adam... That brings me to my other problem. The Manga is much more clear on some things, like the founding of the Federation, why Samus would lose her cool after seeing Ridley in Other M (although you'd think that something similar would happen in Metroid Prime 0_o), as well as many facets of her personality. Also, when it retold the story of the original Metroid, it gave much more detail, but idk if it's "canon" enough to add to in-game stuff... I think I can write a good deal about the Manga now, it's just a question of how strong its canonicity is. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 13:51, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Star Trackers stuff definitely wasn't in Fusion, maybe it was mentioned SOMEWHERE in the manga. The manga is generally considered very canon. There are some stuff from it that make it kinda confusing, like whether Samus left the Federation because of the Mother Brain incident or the Ian incident (Other M, this is considered the case though) and it leaves large gaps, particularly around Samus's time with the Federation, but the manga is considered very canon in Metroid. If there is a "very canon" lol --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 15:40, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmm, then unless it's in Other M, I guess I should remove it :)... It timeskipped from Samus discovering Mother Brain's control of the Space Pirates to a few months before Samus left for Zebes and her "Zero Mission". Never saw any Academy stuff. If it's that canon, then her entire background section (while generally informative enough), could use a major boost in content... I'll get on it. Yeah, go ahead and remove it. And that big skip really annoyed me >:[ it'd be nice to have some manga or game or something about Samus's Federation days. Coolness! :D I'll be getting back to some templates lol --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 20:02, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'd play one of those type of games ;)... The time skip was annoying, but it served well within the Manga; it definitely made an entire chapter at least more interesting. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 20:21, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
