Appearance and Navigation[edit | edit source]

The first section of the tunnel is fairly unremarkable, just resembling most of the caverns found in the Temple Grounds, being empty other than a few stalagmites. The second section has a Growler Class Turret on the ceiling shooting at three Splinters on the ground, both of which will turn hostile towards Samus as she enters the room. There is a GF Gate Mk VII blocking the main path, so Samus must go through a small side Morph Ball tunnel leading to a side room. This room has a Scan Terminal that will partially activate the gate, allowing Samus to go underneath while in Morph Ball Mode. The corpse of Specialist M. Angseth will be in this side room as well, likely having been killed by Splinters in the small space with nowhere to run.

After getting the Power Bombs, the Scan Terminal will malfunction and Samus will have to destroy the Denzium gate to pass through. No enemies will appear on later visits.
