Staff Application[edit source]

I would like to become part of this staff. I am an excellent writer and an extreme Metroid enthusiast. I would like to see this wiki grow and I would like to take the commitment of helping this wiki grow. - JeKartaN1 19:51, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey JekartaN1 and thanks for your request. At the moment, Metroid Wiki is adequately staffed and does not require any additional admins. However as we move into the future and the wiki grows we will need more staff. Therefore, if you are truly committed to Metroid Wiki, you can do the following in the meantime. Continue to edit and show your commitment, skills and enthusiasm. Build up your knowledge of wikis, wiki software, team work, community spirit and social interaction with members, because they are more important traits for staff members than writing abilities. As you continue to edit we will be able to see whether you are suitable for the job and how you work with others. You must establish longevity and a respectable amount of edits to gain staff rights. Last of all, I must mention that you will need to become familiar with the standards of Metroid Wiki and it's philosophies, to understand why you should not be copying content from Wikia and what NIWA stands for.
Anyway, thanks for your application, and I look forward to seeing you edit and contribute to Metroid Wiki as a member. Perhaps one day you will make it onto the staff - but remember, staff positions come with a lot of responsibility that deplete the time you actually have to edit and write article content. Cheers. -Melchizedek  talk 22:53, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
