Images[edit source]

Three things about images, first just use {{copyright}} for licensing, there's no need to add the full code of the template. Second, please upload files with a lower case extension (for the sake of consistency with other file names). Third's merely a request, please add a link to the source of the images you upload, we like to give credit to the person who provided the image.

Also thanks for writing the Other M section of the Samus article. It needs some references, but otherwise it is good to have it on the article. I'll get on the Fusion section. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 22:46, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Screenshot template[edit source]

Was there anything specific you were trying to do with the screenshot template? I could help with it, since I made it... way too long ago. I've been meaning to get around to fixing all of them, but for now, what were you trying to do? --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 23:13, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh, I know how it happened, lol, yeah I'll have to fix that about that template eventually --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 05:52, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File:Favreau.png[edit source]

I'd prefer it if the original Japanese text was used on the images, plus we'd have to get permission from Metroid Database to use their translations of the artwork. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 00:02, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Music in articles[edit source]

So I got something working here, it's a simple link in infoboxes. Check out the infobox on Mogenar and you can see what I'm talking about. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 22:32, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I got that covered ;) When a subject has more then one piece of music, use multi music= . Look at the infobox code for G.F.S. Theseus (room) and you can see what I did there. So for a boss like Kraid, it'd be
{{Boss-infobox
...
|multi music=*[url1 name1] (Metroid)
*[url2 name2] (Zero Mission)
*[url3 name3] (Super Metroid)
}}

--Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:17, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Each of their pages would get the same song listed in their infobox. Since the song is really both of their songs --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:51, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah no problem man ;) I'm still trying to see if we can get the actual files on Metroid Wiki, I think it'd be even nicer that way. The infobox thing is nice as it is though --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 01:10, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Alright, so here's the deal, we've decided we can upload 10 second music samples. That's what Metroid Wiki is going with to be safe. It doesn't sound like much, but 10 seconds can be a long time in music. If you don't know how to edit music, I suggest checking out [ Audacity]. If not, I'll trim any uploaded music down to size. Other than that, linking to Recon's music is fine. Oh yeah, btw, the infobox linking to music has ben changed to just one parameter, check out Crash Site for an example on how it works. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:21, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's why you can choose which 10 seconds to use ;) Or we could do both upload and link lol. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 15:31, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That sounds good, I just gotta get around to trimming those pieces of music. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:28, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yep, ogg would be best --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 23:37, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That you'll have to wait with, I can't fix that myself. But I've sent Prod a message --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:36, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Haha, well you enjoy your inverted ocarinas lol. Oh hey that's gendreavus! --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 01:28, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, I just felt like talking[edit source]

Earlier today, I completed the hardest to achieve in Chrono Trigger (it requires beating the final boss with one less character than usual, or defeating him with all the boss' stats doubled (harder than hard in the second case)). I think that the rest of the endings will take me a week, then I feel like playing Metroid for some weird reason (maybe spending too much time here?). Figure, a 100% run-through on the games I own but haven't played, then some challenge and speed runs for fun. Wondering if playing the Trilogy version of the Prime games is cheating in some cases (Omega Pirate, Spider Guardian, Dark Samus 3 and 4 in Prime 2, etc). Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 23:00, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don't know about that, Spider Guardian with the Spring Ball would be downright unfair some of the time. Those sound like fun games, maybe you should pick up MM or buy the DS version of Chrono Trigger (I know you might know nothing about it, but it is one of those games that is a timeless classic). I would really like to play the portable Metroid games, but I have no means of doing so. I just check the Proposals page and my talk page on MarioWiki, like to make sure that nothing is pressing there. Congrats on making autopatrolled. I think that I've always considered your edit strategy to be verrrrrrrrry similar to my own, wondering if I should be more active there and if I was doing really well or not (just wondering). Btw, LOL you didn't check your messages and you got autopatrolled while you were offline! Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 01:35, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, the SNES version of Chrono Trigger is the one everyone loved, but the DS version has more equipment, dungeons, bosses, enemies, and a continuity destroying new ending (you know you want one). The Wii version plays just fine with the save states and a Gamecube controller. I bought Starfox 64 on VC, and to be honest, I did a barrel roll more often than I anticipated. I was just wondering, after spending some time reading the whole mess with KKR asking to be a sysop that I should just plain edit; if I dedicate myself enough, then eventually I'll be a sysop somewhere (not here, haven't edited enough yet (and we don't really need more sysops here, two alone get so much done that another would be superfluous)). It's mostly just a confirmation that going through articles fixing grammar details and wording is just as important as whatever else is going on :). Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 12:03, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The barrel roll was in the trailer, just not the infamous line from Peppy (I wanted to hear about the great Leon myself). Slippy looks just as creepily genderless as before. The additional content is mostly just palette swaps, but is still appreciated. The fiasco with KKR was just a classic case of how not to behave; very enlightening. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 18:55, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'll say, I played the game for all of three hours, and hated every character in the game by the end of it. Really? You cheater. At least the bird from Twilight Princess doesn't do much, you just lose a convenient shop location... Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 01:26, 24 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If he's not coming back, then we should probably stop talking about him <_<... If it's placement in the game makes it not cheating, then abuse the Infinite Skulltula Tokens Glitch or something as well... Although that's not quite the same thing. Btw, finished Chrono Trigger today; was really overleveled, and I still almost died (some stupid attack called Grand Stone). Now I should play MP2 or something, lol. Recon images[edit source]

This is merely a request by Falcon Zero of Metroid Recon. He prefers that images not be taken from the walkthrough sections of the site so please keep that in mind. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 17:55, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Samus Aran article[edit source]

Hey there! Thank you so much for your recent expansion efforts on the Samus Aran article, specifically the Fusion sections. We definitely needed it! However, I was hoping I could petition your help with a couple more things:

First of all, while the detail you incorporated into that section is great and very well written, I fear it's far too detailed. What the Samus page needs is a brief summary explaining her adventure and accomplishments, but what it has is an expansive plot summary that is nearly as long as the plot summary on the Metroid Fusion page!! As I haven't played Fusion myself, your aid in trimming this section so it adds to the article's consistency would be most helpful.

Also, the section is in desperate need of references. Each section needs to be properly referenced to maintain the Wiki's quality standards. Please assist in adding those in any way you can. Thank you!!! Embyr 75  --Talk-- 20:23, 5 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

RE: (my talk page)
Hi!! As I haven't ever played Fusion myself, and actually know very little about it, I can't really comment as to its fitness for the Fusion article. Perhaps you could find a way to fuse it with the preexisting summary? That's a nice happy medium. Also, we like to keep conversations to one talk page, so please add any other responses here rather than on my talk page. I pretty much live on the RC, so I'll definitely see it. =) Embyr 75  --Talk-- 23:52, 6 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Fusion Revamp[edit source]

Awesome job! We really needed that. I'm glad we got to keep your work from the Samus Aran article! =D Embyr 75  --Talk-- 05:51, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks. I'm glad I could be of use. Metroid4Ever 17:59, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
