White Hatch

From Metroid Wiki

A White Hatch[1] is a door created by the Luminoth that requires light energy to be opened.[2] Like a regular door, it grants Samus access to the next room once it is opened, but must be reopened with the Light Beam after it closes if she wishes to pass through again.

A similar door that can be opened with the Ice Beam, called a White Door, is found on Tallon IV.

Data[edit | edit source]

Scan Data[edit | edit source]

There is a Blast Shield on the door blocking access. Analysis indicates that the Blast Shield is invulnerable to most weapons. Light energy may damage it.[2]

Light Beam: This fires beams of light that can pass through enemies and set them on fire. It can be used to energize Light Crystals, and is effective against dark creatures. Charge it to fire a wide-dispersing Lightblast that will continually burn enemies. The Light Beam can open white hatches.[1]
