Samus faces a Yumbo

Yumbo are creatures native to SR388. Much like the Ripper species, Yumbo fly left and right in a set path. Unlike Rippers, however, Yumbo are offensive and not defensive. Where Rippers are covered in a tough, shelled exterior, Yumbo have a spinning, sharp and spiked appendage in front of their facial region. They damage Samus if she touches them, but are easily destroyed with any shot of Samus's Arm Cannon. Again like Rippers, the creatures are often used as platforms upon freezing caused by Samus's Ice Beam.
