Concealed Movement Pads are buoyant platforms that were manufactured by the Luminoth to navigate the flooded areas of Torvus with ease. The pad's appearance is quite lifelike and was designed to confuse the Ing.^[1] The top end is round and covered in damage-inflicting spikes, but a Light Crystal embedded in the bottom end will flip the pad over when activated by a shot from the Dark Beam.^[2]

Samus encounters these pads only in the Gathering Hall of Torvus Bog, but when the water in the room is drained the Light Crystal on the underbelly becomes inaccessible, rendering the Concealed Movement Pads effectively useless. The spikes on the surface will still cause minimal damage on contact, however.
