Dark Triclops

Dark Triclops are unused enemies from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. They are mentioned in the game's unused textual data. They were undoubtedly Darkling variants of regular Triclops, introduced in Metroid Prime and mentioned in Luminoth Lore, but which were also unused in the final version of the game.
Luminoth attempted to tame and train Triclops for use in war, but were unsuccessful and instead created mechanoid versions known as Mechlops.[1] The conception of these enemies undoubtedly rendered Triclops and Dark Triclops unnecessary.
