An Ingworm Cache

Ingworm Caches are small conglomerations of weak Ingworm with no offensive capabilities. Due to this, these Ingworm are instead used for storage purposes by the Ing. They aren't very durable and can be destroyed with any kind of weapons fire, and will yield ammunition or energy when breached. Samus finds Ingworm Caches in large amounts in the Ing Hive and the Sky Temple.

The Ingworms wrap their bodies around useful items to protect them. They are defenseless. They are not terribly durable and have no form of attack, hence their assignment as storage bearers by the Horde.
