Security Level Tau

Security Level Tau will be in effect until further notice. All leaves cancelled pending downgrade of alert status.

Security Level Tau was an alert status used by Space Pirates during the events of Metroid Prime. During the time Security Level Tau was in effect, all leaves of absence by Space Pirate personnel were cancelled, indicating that Tau was a heightened alert status. Though the direct cause of the jump to Security Level Tau was not divulged, it was likely connected to Samus Aran's arrival on Tallon IV and subsequent infiltration of Space Pirate facilities there.[1]
The system appears to be reminiscent of the DEFCON system used by the United States Armed Forces to indicate its Alert Status.
