Space Pirate Defense Shields are used by Space Pirates on their starships. The only time Samus encounters one of these force fields is in the Central Mining Station of Agon Wastes, where a defense shield was pulled from the wreckage of a Space Pirate starship and modified for use on Aether. The shield confines a Beam Ammo Expansion and the fallen Keybearer J-Stl. Samus can utilize a "Vigilance" Class Turret to destroy a nearby wall casing and travel through a small opening in her Morph Ball form to collect the expansion and pull the entry from the Luminoth Datapac.
