  1. I'm proposing a split into "Omega Metroid," the regular life cycle of Metroids and "Omega Metroid (specimen)," The final boss of Fusion. A final boss is too important to not have it's own article, plus it's hard to link to it specifically sometimes. In essence, the Fusion Omega is far too notable to be a part of this article. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:22, 24 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  2. I support this due to the fact that the Omega Metroid in Fusion is a unique specimen, whereas the ones in Metroid II are simply another portion of the overall life cycle of Metroids. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 19:40, 15 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  1. It is the same species of Metroid in both games. The only differences are that one is in better graphics and does not use projectiles. Splitting the articles would result in two quite similar stubs.

The way I see it though is that the Omega Metroid in Fusion was a very important Omega Metroid. The Same way that U-Mos is an important Luminoth or Old Bird is an important Chozo, the unnamed Omega Metroid at the end of Fusion is an important Omega Metroid. I mean, consider a situation where R&D had named the last Omega Metroid Bob, then we would have an article named Omega Metroid and an article named Bob. The only difference here is the lack of a formal name. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:03, 15 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
