This image is a screenshot of, or official artwork for, a copyrighted video game, and the copyright for it is most likely held by the company or person that developed the game. It is believed that its use here constitutes fair use, given that:

  • it is used in a non-commercial setting, and therefore is not being used to generate profit in this context
  • its use here does not significantly impede the right of the copyright holder to sell the copyrighted material
  • it is used in a largely unaltered state, where any editing has been done purely for cosmetic/display purposes
  • the original content of the image has not been modified, and it is not a derivative work

Usage[edit source]

This is meant to be used on any Images uploaded that are logbook images from any 3D game. Any other types of screenshots screenshots should be marked with the {{Screenshot}} template. All images should be facing forward and not in their original tilted state. To use this template, input:

{{logbook image|game*|of*|description}}

This forces this sentence to appear: "This is a logbook image [of*] from [game*]"

  • Input - Game
    • mp1 - Metroid Prime
    • hu - Metroid Prime Hunters
    • mp2 - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
    • mp3 - Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
    • tri - Metroid Prime: Trilogy

*The second addition to this template is the "of" section. This is where you can input what the image is of. This part categorizes the file to specific categories listed below. If nothing is inputed, categorizing must be done manually. If the logbook image does not fit any of these, leave the section blank and add categories manually or request an addition to this template on this page's talk page. This section is optional, but preferably used, mainly for categorizing purposes.
