:O!!!!!!!!! How long has THIS been here >:( I just wasted so much time. I wish I'd known about this earlier --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 22:46, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Images[edit source]

I can't seem to be able to put in images as a whole. It just shows up as the text in the little square thingy. - ZeldaMan (PostboxStatus) 03:41, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

{{Logbook|Name|Entry text|[[File:Thardus.jpg]]}} It should look like that, just change it with whatever image you want. Metroidking 04:02, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
For Image, put a logbook pic not any average pic though. Look at War Wasp's code and it might make more sense, that's one of the few pages with a complete logbook with a pic. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:09, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Wow, I didn't even put on the brackets. I feel dumb now. - ZeldaMan (PostboxStatus) 04:10, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wow.[edit source]

Um. This tang orange doesn't really go with the purple. At all. And on my resolution the bar (with the "hide" toggle) doesn't line up with the actual infobox (the infobox spills over to the right). So I'm pushing for some editing for this template. A less offensive color, at the very least. Embyr 75 16:20, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In your opinion, what color do you think would work better? I'll talk it over with the other staff afterward and see what they think. Metroidking 18:19, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Um. Something not orange. lol... It was just too stressful on the eyes, given that the color scheme on Metroidwiki is very dark and subtle. Something that blends with the purples and greens. As boring/repetitious as it may seem, the color scheme on the navigation bar would be most appropriate in terms of continuity, but I don't have a solid opinion. I was just thinking that something more monotonous wouldn't be so shocking. Embyr 75 18:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What do you think about the round edges on it? Metroidking 19:00, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't see any round edges... I'm running IE7, which might have something to do with it. Embyr 75 01:17, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I looked at it with IE8 and I see what you mean, I'll try to see if that can be fixed. Metroidking 01:26, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Roundness is still in very early stages, so im assuming it doesn't pop up in IE... That won't be complete for a while. When I have time. It will look similar, but not exactly like Bulbapedia's round templates. As for the colors, yeah they bothered me too, but I tried to get the most Metroid-like colors, and those would be Varia Suit red/orange/yellow. And if those bother you, you'll be furious when you see the rest of the templates lol. Everything around here is pretty much a work in progress, and the templates' style is pretty much my job. So complain on my user talk if you'd like to get a precise response. I really don't like the monotony of of colors though... I'll get some dimmer shades, maybe that'll make it easier on your eyes ;] --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 03:18, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, I see. Varia suit, got it! Well if I might suggest using the dimmer colors of, say, the suit displayed in the header, as it blends in quite well. I know monotony can be boring, but page continuity (in coloration, as well as other ways) is a big deal when it comes to design. Helps hold the site together, you know? Think of it as making the page "flow." =P Ok I'll leave you alone now haha. ^_^ Embyr 75 01:53, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well I'm done with colors for now. For now, and who knows how much longer, these templates will be colored to match the wiki's colors. We'll see how that goes, and if I ever get bored of the way it looks I might just come back here and change it back to some trippy colors haha. So color consistency wins over colorfulness...this time... And there's no need to leave me alone haha, that's what admins are there for. Any sort of feedback is appreciated, and if you ask for change, you may get it :] --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 02:20, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Uh[edit source]

While editing creature and boss pages, I noticed that the auto-ref feature, while helpful, is not using the consistent, logical format for referencing that I suggested on the Discussion page. Would someone who is experienced with templates please change to that format? Apologies if this was planned but hasn't been done yet; I'm just pointing out my observations. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 00:27, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It hasn't been done because it'd be best to complete the logbooks first, I've been adding anchors to some pages, but there is just so much to do... Anchors are something that lets you do this Pirate Data#Artifact Site, notice how it automatically scrolls to the Artifact portion of the logbook. I'm not sure exactly how the ref should look yet, care to show me again? it'll make it easier to change. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:45, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's what I gathered; I figured that I'd point out that this is the source of a large amount of inconsistency with, well, a lot of referencing in other places. This is the format I was suggesting we use: {{Cite|entry|[[Link to the Logbook the entry is from]](such as Metroid Prime Logbook "Entry name(link if necessary)"|game the entry is from}}. This inconsistency has been really irking me. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 01:00, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Lets hope that did it, I would help you fix every entry, but the problem is there is so many other things left to be done that only I can do. Tell me if something went wrong lol. By the way, those pages with multiple logbook entries do not use autoref and would need to be fixed manually. Also, the actual logbook pages, like Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Logbook still need work for the link on "logbook entry for {{{name|}}}" to link correctly --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 02:01, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That fixes it for the auto-ref portion. In the meantime, I'll go through all the articles with multiple entries and change them to the format above. Bop1996 (Talk | Unfinished projects) 12:21, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

MP2 Bonus Disc[edit source]

I've noticed that there are a few Logbook entries unique to the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc, so I think that the Bonus Disc should be added to this template.

Alongside this addition, I think that there should be either a new article about the Bonus Disc entries titled Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc Logbook or it should be merged with the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Logbook. --Wookiee 123 02:38, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wow, you're absolutely right! I agree on all counts. Very interesting... Embyr 75  --Talk-- 02:01, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'll try and add a piece to the template when I have time, school always keeps people busy though haha. I think the Bonus Disc entries should be appended to the Echoes logbook, perhaps as its own section at the bottom of the page. That's a great find by the way, I never noticed they were different :] --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:29, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Images not centering?[edit source]

I noticed recently that the images in this template aren't centering, they're floating left. Anybody know why this happened and how to fix it? I'm running Chrome, don't know if it's affecting any other browsers. Embyr 75  --Talk-- 21:57, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's not centering in FF either, and the same problem exists in the scan template. Not sure what the problem is. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 22:46, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
