Mogenar help[edit source]

I'm going to tell you outright that this site is an encyclopedia, not for game help. For that, you should go to a site dedicated to walkthroughs. The best one I can recommend for Metroid is Metroid Recon (here). Good luck. MKMetroid mf Sprite.gif 00:26, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey dude, we can help you if you need it :) MetroidKing just sticks to linking people to Metroid Recon's walkthrough a lot. If Metroid Recon wasn't help enough (it probably was), we're here as well :D To get past many bosses, including Mogenar, in Corruption the best thing to do is use your Hypermode as much as possible and at the right time. Don't let him absorb the red balls, destroy them before he absorbs them. And shot down the green hands that he shoots at you, they're actually quite fragile. Use your hypermode to rack up a lot of damage to his red orbs. Oh, also when you destroy his boots, they drop energy for you to soak up with the charge beam, that should help with your energy problem. Good Luck! --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 00:53, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think ya gotta learn what Metroid Wiki is and isn't. Metroid Wiki, and most video game wikis believe it or not, are srs bsns :] Articles are to be written in the third person perspective in an informative fashion. Here are the quality standards by which editors abide. Try comparing your article on X-Ray Visor versus the existing article on the X-Ray Visor and you'll see the difference. On your own user page, you can pretty much anything you want, but the main space pages have to stay formal. If you find this kinda "formal" to be boring, I suggest joining a Metroid forum, there are many out there.--Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 07:06, 14 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Metroid Prime Hunters[edit source]

I saw on your user page you want some opinions on Metroid Prime Hunters. It may not fit in very well with the other Metroid games, but it is a good game by itself. The graphics are what you would expect on the DS, so not very good compared to the main Prime games but they still manage to pull off some good stuff graphics wise. Unlike the other games, hunters has no upgrades, the only new things you get are missile expansions and the like, along with 6 different weapons that you pick up as you go along. The objective that you try to accomplish is to go around to the 4 areas and collect 8 octoliths, each is guarded by a boss. The game doesn't into much detail with the storyline, unless you pay attention to the scans, but you get a feeling very similar to Metroid Prime, where you are exploring the destroyed ruins of a once great civilization, but now was destroyed by some entity that you are now going to face. Overall, I felt it was a good game, but it certainly is not one of the best Metroid games, and if you don't play/get it, you wont really be missing anything crucial. One thing that is pretty cool though is the way you aim, using the stylus to control where you look. A major part of the game is the multiplayer mode, which offers a unique experience as a handheld shooting game. The multiplayer is pretty good and it is alot funner to fight real people rather than the somewhat repetitive enemies in the story mode. The multiplayer has wifi support, and if you ever want to play someone feel free to ask me on my contact psge. Sorry for rambling on a bit, but I felt I should explain the game fully. This game often gets overlooked by people, but it is still a good game that deserves a chance. btw: about 97 percent of the hunters stuff on Metroid Wiki was written by me. If you need more info, take a look at some of the enemies by following links from the Metroid Prime Hunters Logbook, or look at the 300 or so screenshots i took here (unfortunately most are just the multiplayer stages). I hope this information was helpful to you. --Nintendbob 23:08, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I've played the game but I've never beaten it. Nintendbob seems to have given you a detailed description lol, all I can say is, if you like Metroid, go for it. It is widely considered on the lesser scale of the Metroid games, but Metroid is Metroid and awesome nonetheless. As for graphics, don't expect anything a DS can't give. It pushes graphics as far as the DS can handle really. - unsigned comment from Malake256 (talkcontribs)
Amazon.com sells for like 45 bucks. Try a nearby game store, they may have it. A used-games shop is probably your best bet. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 07:05, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
