After a bit of searching, it seems that safari search boxes can't have their background or text colour changed. That is obviously only half right as you are getting the white text. I'll see if I can set the text colour to black for only Safari users. -- Prod 18:35, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Looks like mediawiki isn't set up for custom safari css, so I've attempted another fix. One more try please :). -- Prod 18:39, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
