Just[edit source]

wanted to say good edits. We really need people like you who are dedicated to bettering Metroid Wiki. When creating and fixing pages though, don't add an indent before starting the page. All main text of pages have started all the way to the left, unless it's a long, direct quote like in Kraid #Metroid Prime --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 20:20, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Alright will do. I'll un-indent all the pages that I worked on. Metroidking 20:24, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Cool, you won't believe the hell I'll go through sometimes when I try to get people to change little things like this one. Also indent on talk pages. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 20:27, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
OK I'll remember to do that in the future. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Metroidking 20:31, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What about the edits I made to the Metroid page in the subsections about each stage in the Metroids life cycle? Should those be indented? Metroidking 20:38, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No prob. Eh, don't worry about it, I'll fix it. Just try laying it out a different way. You'll see once I'm done. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 20:42, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The important thing to remember is that nothing is personal-it's just editing. Don't take anything to heart like how I did when I came back from my break and saw that my edits had dropped three percent (you can thank Malake for that!!!!!) - ZeldaMan (PostboxStatus) 05:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I rarely take things personal. If the mistakes that I make are pointed out, it will lower the chances of them happening again and allow me to create higher quality pages. Metroidking 01:55, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's great. Yeah, this site is for nothing but mere..."sport." Your edits are precise and accurate, just like how we need them to be at the Wiki. Thanks. - ZeldaMan (PostboxStatus) 01:58, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

While we're on this topic, thank you for fixing the Berserker Lord.I'm not that good yet.Pokekid9 00:58, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

No problem, if you practice a bit you should do fine. Sign your posts on talk pages with ~~~~, you probably used five. It will make a link to your user page as well as the time it was posted. Metroidking 01:13, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sectors[edit source]

The Sector page's names should be, for example, Sector 1 (SRX), not just Sector 1, since it appears like that in-game. Oh thanks for fixing all those BSL links, I was getting to that next :D --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 22:51, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Alright. I fixed those and I'll start creating the pages for the individual sectors. And the shadow in the background of Sector 5 looks more like Nightmare around 5:28 the shadow is visible. Metroidking 23:15, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Vandalism[edit source]

I see you encountered that vandal was.. well.. vandalizing. Next time though, do not edit on top of or undo a vandal's edits. I see you were trying to help, and thank you for that, but what happens is it becomes difficult for the staff to fix vandalized pages that have been edited over. Notify Mel, SZM, or myself and if you can't you'll have to simply wait it out. Thanks for your efforts, all vandalized pages should be fixed by now, but if you see any, notify Mel. And on a side note, great job on your edits, I consider you a great editor to MetroidWiki so keep up the good work. :) --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 07:47, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Alright, I noticed that Mel was having trouble fixing my edits last night. I'm notifying him of the pages that are still messed up. Thanks for the compliment. Metroidking 18:02, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Awesome. Don't worry about it too much, it doesn't take long at all to fix, it's just not as easily fixed as other pages. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:11, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Here are some of those[edit source]

dark creature pages lacking logbook. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC) So those are some of the dark creatures and Ing w/o logbook entries. Have fun :) I may add more later. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 04:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Alright I'll get on those. The Ing Hing doesn't need logbook data (unless you want some Luminoth Lore or some quotes referring to it), its a location (Dark Aether Counterpart of Sanctuary Fortress). I also don't think the Ing page needs logbook data, there's no specific scan (minus some Luminoth Lore) and with the links to different types of Ing on that page, I see no need to have (just as an example) the Emperor Ing's scan data to two different article.Metroidking 18:27, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh, well those are just the pages I saw that had no Logbook that are MP2 exclusive. Any information that you can add to any page is always welcome though, of course. Whenever you have time, you should try adding ALL missing logbook info, since you have it all on MP2, it's just dreadfully tedious... --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 19:38, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

List Expansion, Putting it here so you notice, So any MP2 scans of these would be awesome:

omega pirate[edit source]

dude why did you remove the quick kill section? I belive that it is important knowledge about the Omega Pirate battle. Think about it, people that come here want to know more about the metroid series, and battle techniques, that section provides them for a quick kill with the omega pirate, and now you removed it, I think it should be re added. thebestmetroidfan 20:15, 1 July 2010 (UTC)thebestmetroidfanReply[reply]

"In the Trilogy and PAL versions of Metroid Prime, a well timed Power Bomb can be used to shatter all four plates at the same time, however in the NTSC version it will only cause the Omega Pirate to briefly stumble." That's from the Trivia section of the page, already mentioning what you posted. Metroidking 20:23, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

...sorry to bother you then...thebestmetroidfan 20:30, 1 July 2010 (UTC)thebestmetroidfanReply[reply]

Links[edit source]

Hey, dude, just wanted to let you know that you can make valid plural links by doing this: [[Link]]s. The software automatically includes the "s" in the link. Look: Space Pirates. Neat, eh?_Neo(U) (T) (C)(Home) 20:28, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I know, I just use piped links more often. You might want to make sure none of your links in articles you make link to redirects though. Metroidking 20:36, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, I'm not really that much of a believer in the "NO INLINE REDIRECTS!" mentality, because they all point you to the right article one way or the other. It's just something I've learned in my time at ZW, because trying to fix them all just wastes time you could've used to improve the article itself._Neo(U) (T) (C)(Home) 20:40, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm just following our quality standards. Metroidking 21:55, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In case you guys were wondering[edit source]

My computer is jacking up and Skype doesn't wna open. It looks like steve's been working on the skin :] awesome --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 03:06, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Alright, hopefully you can get PC to work soon. And it does look good. Metroidking 03:26, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Check out Template:Screenshot, that thing is pretty amazing. Took a while. First step in "Operation Image Cleanup" haha, jk im not szm. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:04, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
OK I'll use that when I upload more images. http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Metroid_Prime_3:_Corruption/Creatures the logbook for Gandrayda should be in this, I'm not going to read it cause I don't want to spoil the game if I ever get to play it again. You've already beaten it so there's no spoilers for you. Metroidking 18:09, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Haha, okay. Only use it on screenshots of course and don't use {{copyright}} with it, it adds that automatically. --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 18:13, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You forgot to add the logbook data from early (the one on Norion) on in the game, that one I already know so no spoilers if I add it. And I will not add the new template to non-screenshot images, and I will not add the copyright template to screenshot images. Metroidking 18:39, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Also can you add weapons (use wea or something along those lines) to the new template (for screenshots weapons in action like my Missile screenshot). Metroidking 18:46, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Will do. I'm also going to make {{Artwork}}, {{Coverart}}, {{sprite}}, {{logbook images}} hmm idk wat else...--Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 19:31, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

wat game is that from? need to kno for template --Malake256 {Talk | Contribs} 21:55, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Question to MetroidKing[edit source]

Hi I've been working on pages for Metroid: Other M lately and noticed that you changed the names for certain creatures. I was wondering if these names are official and, if so, how did you discover them. Thank you. Sincerly SpiderballzXD

One of our users found it in (you can see his post here) the Prima guide of the game and that is usually a pretty good source. So unless someone gets a guide made directly by Nintendo that contradicts the names we have, we can assume that it is official. When posting on a talk page, place ~~~~ after your message on the page. It will place the time, date, and the user who posted. It's alright if you forget to do so (takes a while to remember sometimes). On another note, thank you for making the Other M articles, several of our editors that would normally write them (myself included) don't have the game so we can't really make the pages. Just don't put images that we don't have on the pages, place {{image}} instead and it will add the page to the image request category.
