'''Draygon''' is the main boss of [[Maridia]], a region on Planet [[Zebes]], and is one of the four bosses that are required to be defeated to gain access to [[Tourian]] during the events of ''[[Super Metroid]]''. The beast resembles a crustacean with a hard outer shell. Draygon is a fully matured [[Evir]] and even produces hatchlings of the same species, indicating that the monster is a female, unless similar to terrestrial seahorses in breeding. The method for defeating the boss is for [[Samus Aran|Samus]] to aim [[Missile]]s and [[Super Missile]]s at her vulnerable underbelly.  Alternatively, she may intentionally be grabbed by the creature and fire her [[Grapple Beam]] at the remains of turrets (optionally destroyed by Samus in the moments before the fight) on the wall. By causing herself minimal damage, Samus can effectively electrocute Draygon in a matter of seconds.
