''Anhur''''' patrol ship was dispatched to [[Aether]] after the events of ''[[Metroid Prime 2: Echoes]]'' to assist the native [[Luminoth]] in dismantling the remains of the abandoned [[Space Pirate]] mining facility. During the operation, the crew discovered [[Phazon]] and collected several kilograms of [[Phazon Ore]]. The impact had catastrophic effects on the already unstable planet, creating a “dark twin” of the planet and a fierce race known as the Ing.
