Green Blast Shields, also commonly called a Green Hatch, are a type of Blast Shield that were introduced in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and returned in Metroid Prime Hunters. They have a green coloration and can't be removed with Samus's normal weapons. In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Samus can remove them once she obtains the Super Missile upgrade. In Hunters, Samus and most of the Bounty Hunters can't open them, as they can only be opened by Weavel's Battlehammer.
