'''Missiles''' are a high powered concussive blast projectile. The missiles have been featured in every game thus far. There are a few different types of missiles, such as Ice Missiles, Which are found in ''[[Metroid Prime 3 Corruption]]'' and ''[[Metroid Fusion]]''. Missiles are often used to destroy structures and objects made of [[Brinstone]].

In the 3D Metroid games, the missles' rate of fire was slow, unlike in their 2D counterparts. However, in ''Metroid Prime'' there is a technique that allows for multiple missiles to be fired in succession. This technique, missile quickfiring, is easily executed by firing a missile followed by pressing the fire beam button to reset the arm cannon back to beam firing mode, followed by another missile. This technique can be used indefinitely as long as Samus has missiles to fire. Though it is possible to execute, this technique is moot in the two following Prime games, as the seeker missile upgrade makes it obsolete.
