The Pirate Skiff began production immediately after its plans were stolen by Space Pirates from a [[Galactic Federation]] laboratory. Described as a "fast-moving skiff", it is primarily used for troop transport and is a part of most Pirate operations. Though heavily armored, it is not equipped with any weaponry, instead relying on the firepower of the troops aboard the Skiff.<ref name="Logbook" /><ref name="Logbook 2" />

 

[[Samus Aran|Samus]] briefly encounters the Pirate Skiff in [[Agon Wastes|Agon]] and in the [[Temple Grounds]], then later in [[Torvus Bog|Torvus]] where the Pirates ambush her in the [[Torvus Temple|Temple]].
