A Sheegoth is a predatory reptile indigenous to Phendrana Drifts on Tallon IV. The first appearance a Sheegoth makes is as a boss guarding the Wave Beam in the Chapel of the Elders. It appears following a preliminary battle with four Baby Sheegoths. It is much larger than Baby Sheegoths and has large crystals on its back opposed to a smooth, ice shell. The crystals on its back will absorb energy from the Power Beam, so it must be shot in its mouth as it opens it to attack and roar. Other Sheegoths take up residence in Phendrana later in the game and can be fought repeatedly in multiple rooms, including the Quarantine Cave after the defeat of Thardus. As with other creatures of Phendrana accustomed to the cold, the Plasma Beam will deal severe damage.
Sheegoths are large predators indigenous to Phendrana Drifts on Tallon IV. They are attack by breathing frigid breath that can freeze their prey and by ramming. Sheegoths are capable of absorbing energy from most weapons, then fire it back at their prey. They can be harmed with concussion weaponry such as Missiles or heat based weapons such as the Plasma Beam.

Samus first encounters Sheegoths in the Chapel of the Elders, where a group of Baby Sheegoths and an adult are guarding the Wave Beam. After Samus defeats it, more are encountered in various places throughout Phendrana.

Sheegoths are invulnerable to most Beam weapons. The crystals on their back absorb energy, which they can fire at prey. Sheegoths have poor stamina. They hyperventilate after using their breath attack, making their mouth area vulnerable. The soft underbelly of a Sheegoth is susceptible to concussive blasts. In battle, they expel blasts of frigid gas. <ref>{{cite|Supreme predator of the Phendrana Drifts.
