The '''Speed Booster''' is an ability allowing [[Samus Aran|Samus]] to run with an increased speed. Once in ''Speed Mode'', [[Samus Aran|Samus]] can destroy any regular enemy by running into them. There is also a secret technique introduced in ''[[Super Metroid]]'', shown by the [[Dachora]], called the [[Shinespark]]. It has been in every 2D Metroid game since that.
