Torvus Bearerpods are plants found in Torvus Bog. Their resistance to the chemicals and diseases found in Torvus have led the Torvus Bearerpods to be used by the Luminoth to store items. When their outer shell has been ruptured, they release a toxic gas. Though the gas is dangerous to Samus, she can find energy or ammunition to use inside the Bearerpods.

Torvus Bearerpods are mentioned in A-Kul's Clue for the Keybearer G-Sch, who fell in the submerged temple in Torvus.[1]

Logbook[edit | edit source]

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Torvus Bearerpod
First Location: Torvus Bog - Torvus Lagoon
The Torvus Bearerpod grows around useful items. The hard outer shell can be shattered by weapon fire. The Luminoth use the hardy plants to store supplies for operations in the Torvus Bog. They are resistant to the harsh chemicals and diseases that run rampant in the swamp, and emit a deadly cloud when destroyed. This has discouraged their consumption by local animals.[2]
