The Zero Suit has been shown at least once in every Metroid game since ''Zero Mission''. So far, the player has only been able to control the Zero Suit in ''Metroid: Zero Mission'' and ''[[Metroid: Other M]]''. Select installments of the [[Metroid in the Super Smash Bros. Series|''Super Smash Bros.'' series]] also feature [[Zero Suit Samus]] as a playable character.

| In ''Metroid: Other M'', [[Samus Aran|Samus]] is seen wearing the suit in the beginning cutscene, as well as in a couple of the flashbacks. At the end of the game, she deactivates her power suit upon locating [[Adam Malkovich|Adam's]] helmet. She is then forced to escape the [[Bottle Ship]] without her Power Suit. She is again equipped with the Paralyzer, and she can slide underneath objects since she cannot use her [[Morph Ball]]. Once Samus is in her Zero Suit, she cannot regain her Power Suit. In said game, the suit receives an updated appearance, and is now a more metallic blue, and has larger heels. In addition, unlike in its appearances in ''[[Metroid Prime 3: Corruption]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'', the suit no longer goes in between Samus' breasts. Samus also carries her Paralyzer in a black holster on her leg. It is also worth noting that in the flashback scenes, Samus is seen wearing harness pants over her suit for unknown reasons.

[[Zero Suit Samus]], a playable character that Samus can turn into using her Final Smash, uses the suit to move quickly with great agility. With the Zero Suit, Samus is able to jump higher and further than a Power Suited Samus. She can rematerialize her Power Suit using her Final Smash in this form.
