Sandbat

In Metroid Prime 2 Echoes sandbats are minor desert dwelling enemies. Sandbats are tan and maroon in color and have short wing spans. they fly in packs mostly for protection and hunting. Sandbats can be killed with virtually any weapons. They are known to devour any food they can find.

logbook entry: Sandbats are small flyers. They travel in packs for safety, though they are predatory in nature. Failing to find prey as a group, Sandbats will often enter a feeding frenzy and attack one another in search of sustenance.
