Lumite are moth like creatures that appear in Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Lumnites are almost completely dependent on light they are able to use photosynthisis. When in the darkness they rely on a week shot of biomatter for protection. When the Lumite travels into light they can become invisible and shoot solar blast the olny way to see them would be with the dark visor. The Lumite Appear as large moths with a single eye they have gray bodies and six tan legs. Lumites have transparent wings with circular designs. When on the ground Lumites will skitter back and forth as if they are nervous. Lumites also seem to be related to the Luminoth because both are moth like creatures who have some degree of devotion to light.

Morphology: Lumite Photosynthetic flying insectoid. Relatively harmless in shadows, powerful and invisible in the light.
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes "The Lumite thrives on light, and can render itself invisible to most predators while within it. When out of the light, the creature is relatively harmless, relying on a crudely spat chunk of biomatter to defend itself. Once in the light, it can channel large amounts of solar energy into a deadly blast."
