Gameplay trailers have shown that the controls will be using the Wii Remote sideways and pointing at the screen to create a first-person view. According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, the story of Other M focuses largely on the series' protagonist [[Samus Aran]].

Samus weaves through an action-packed adventure aboard the [[Bottle Ship]], a decommissioned space facility.
