Metroid Blast
sectstub
One player uses the Wii U GamePad, controlling Samus' Gunship. Up to four other players who use Wii Remotes and Nunchuks control Mii characters on the ground, and each wears a Varia Suit. The three game types of Metroid Blast are Assault Mission, Surface-Air Combat, and Ground Battle.
Assault Mission
In this mini-game, all players work together to overcome several enemies and bosses. Many familiar enemies appear: Geemers, Zebesians, Flying Zebesians, and Metroids. New enemies include Sniper Zebesians, Cyclon, and Cyclon Queen. Kraid and Ridley appear as the two final bosses.
Surface-Air Combat
Two to five players compete in a Deathmatch; the players using the Wii Remotes and Nunchuks must shoot down the player controlling Samus' Gunship.
Ground Battle
In this mode, all players compete for the most tokens. Only players with Wii Remotes and Nunchuks can compete in Ground Battle.
