In Metroid Prime 2 Echoes sandbats are minor desert dwelling enemies. Sandbats are tan and maroon in color and have short wing spans. they fly in packs mostly for protection and hunting. Sandbats can be killed with virtually any weapons. They are known to devour any food they can find.
