As time passed the Chozo began to understand the severity of the disaster. They chose to build [[Artifact Temple|a temple]] to contain the Phazon and stop it from poisoning more of the planet.<ref>{{cite|None know if our temple, the Cradle, will prove powerful enough to contain this evil forever.
