::Oh, I see. I just feel that to have users download Skype is asking a bit too much, don't you? With an IRC client like this, all people have to do is click on the link, then there you go, you're in the chat. No dowloading, no waiting, and Skype can prove troublesome, when so many people are there, it can get confusing. In my honest opinion, an IRC chat client would prove much more efficient. but I will keep tabs on this page and see what you guys think about it. Thanks for responding! :) ~KaiZer | ::Oh, I see. :::The thing with IRC is that it requires java, and no, not everyone actually has java. Outside of that requirement (which is in reference to needing to download skype), IRC is clunky as it is and is best used with a external program (xchat, mirc, etc). While IRC has it's benefits (I still use it for some things), the benefits of skype far outweigh those of IRC, primarily due to logging the chat while your offline. This allows the users to catch up ont he current conversation very easily. | |||
