The '''Wall Jump''', or '''Kick Climb''' in ''[[Metroid: Other M|Other M]]'', is a technique first available in ''[[Super Metroid]]'' and since then in every 2D game. It has no proper upgrade, thus can be used from the beginning. It doesn't have to be used but using it can save time or allowing to get to new areas. The Wall Jump can be used repeatedly with only one wall in ''[[Super Metroid]]'' and ''[[Metroid: Zero Mission]]''. This technique is difficult but can give {{samus}} a larger reach in available areas.

The [[Screw Attack]] in the [[Metroid Prime (series)|''Prime'' series]] endows Samus with the Wall Jump ability; however, it can only be used on [[Wall Jump Surface]]s.
