=== Oversights ===
Users with the Oversight class will have an additional 'hide revision' tab when viewing an old revision, edit difference, or deleted revision. The edit can be hidden from all users by clicking this tab, adding a reason, and confirming. The most recent edit to a page cannot be hidden unless the page is deleted; to hide it, you must first revert or delete the edit.

There are several user access levels on Metroid Wiki. User rights changes are decided by the current staff of Metroid Wiki. This page explains what the staff looks for in members to gain these rights.

Users

Users are the normal wiki-editing account rights. This set of user rights allows the basic wiki functions of editing and maintaining an account.

Autoconfirmed Users

Autoconfirmed Users are able to edit semi-protected pages and move pages. A newly registered user automatically becomes autoconfirmed after having made 20 edits and having been a member for at least 7 days. Once a user becomes Autoconfirmed, they will gain access to partially restricted areas of Metroid Wiki, such as featured content voting.

Autopatrol Users

Autopatrol Users are users that are reliable editors that rarely make mistakes in their edits, and are quick to fix the errors that they do make. Therefore their edits are automatically marked as patrolled in Recent Changes.

Bots

Bots are automated, or computer controlled, accounts that perform mundane little tasks from helping with redirects to welcoming new users to performing text replace functions. They are controlled only by staff members.

Patrollers

Patrollers are users that have been proven to be reliable and dedicated to making sure other edits are of quality. These users are given certain rights to make this task a bit easier. Including the ability to mark edits as patrolled and the ability to rollback multiple edits made by one user.

Administrators

Administrators are highly trusted members of Metroid Wiki. These members have proven that they are dedicated to improving the wiki, making sure other edits are of quality, and have been upstanding role models for the rest of wiki. In addition to patrolling rights, administrators are given the rights to delete pages, ban users, and edit protected pages.

Bureaucrats

Bureaucrats are the higher ranking admins, generally founders and owners of the site. They have all of the wiki-level rights that admins do, but also some more.
