The Grapple Guardian is a Grenchler possessed by the Ing that stole Samus's Grapple Beam. Its Grapple Beam can adhere to most objects and will fire it when angered . The Grapple Guardian moves faster than a normal Grenchler allowing it to protect its vulnerable backside. Samus must fire at its sensitive eye to anger it then force its beam to attach to one of the pillars in the chamber. Samus can then fire at its backside. After its shell is broken, the Grapple Guardian will rip off the surface of the pillars preventing its beam from attaching to it but its eye can now take damage. By firing at its eye, Samus can stun it long enough to damage it further.[1]
