The Brug Mass is a single eyeball-like beetle surrounded by other smaller beetles to create a giant organism. Samus encounters this creature while checking out a distress call sent from the Bottle Ship. The creature is completely impervious to all but freezing weapons. Upon the freezing of a limb it becomes venerable to Missiles, which shatters the frozen limb. When all but its torso remains, it becomes vulnerable to a Overblast.
