Draygon is the main boss of the Maridia section of Planet Zebes and one of the four bosses that are required to be defeated to gain access to Tourian. She has only appeared in Super Metroid. The beast resembles a crustacean with a hard outer shell. Draygon is a fully matured Evir, and even produces hatchlings of the same species, indicating that the monster is a female. The method for defeating the boss is for Samus to intentionally be grabbed by the creature and to fire her Grapple Beam at the remains of turrets on the walls, which she has destroyed. Defeating Draygon rewards Samus with the Space Jump.

• The method for defeating Draygon with electricity is similar to the Grapple Guardian's method of defeat.
