Hydlings are small aquatic creatures that travel in packs found in Torvus Bog. Their only method of attack is biting with their sharp teeth and they will not attack Samus unless she gets too close.[1]

Logbook

Logbook entry from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: Hydling
Hydlings are small water dwellers. They travel in packs for safety, roaming the water in search of bits of food. Their only defense is a bite, though their small teeth are sharp enough to pierce metal.[1]
