The Light Beam is a Luminoth weapon developed for use in the war against the Ing. Samus can recover it from Dark Agon Wastes. It is only available in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Description
The Luminoth began by experimenting with the idea of overloading Dark creatures with the Dark Beam, however this failed so they moved on to developing the Light Beam, which proved to be a far more effective weapon against the Ing. As with the other ammunition beams in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Samus can charge the beam when out of ammo to fire a normal shot. The Light Beam shares similar properties with the Plasma Beam from Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and uses the same Arm Cannon shape as the Wave Beam from Metroid Prime and the Nova Beam from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
