Magmoors are dragon-like creature that only reveal the top half of its body to attack. They are native to the Magmoor Caverns in Metroid Prime. They rise from lava to attack. Magmoors only attack is breathing fire out of its mouth, which is their only weak spot. Magmoors cannot move to different areas, they are locked to their own section in lava. They are often located in areas that obstruct Samus's path, keeping her from advancing until she defeats them. As with most enemies, two charged shots from Samus's Ice Beam can finish a Magmoor. Curiously, although the creatures live in an area with extremely high temperature, they are devastated by the Plasma Beam.
