Metroid Wiki:About

Metroid Wiki is an online Metroid encyclopedia that anyone can edit. We aim to be the definitive source of information on the popular Metroid Series. Metroid Wiki is independently owned and operated, meaning there is a focus on building a community within the site.

The site was founded on 27 January 2010 by Nathanial Rumphol-Janc and Dathen Boccabella, as an idea that originated at the Zelda Informer forums, and was then officially launched on 9 February 2010. Throughout the staff boards and the community boards at Zelda Informer there was a desire to begin a sister site, Metroid Informer. While this concept is yet to manifest itself, the idea of a Metroid Wiki was raised by Nathan, and with the widespread support it received at both Zelda Informer and other websites, the wiki is here today.
